Materials and construction details

Style:

1 degree monopitch

 

 

Base:

Supported on adjustable feet on firm and level ground.

 

 

Floor:

125 mm SIPs  (Structural Insulated Panels*) containing 100 mm expanded polystyrene rigid foam insulation supported on 125 x 100 composite tanalised beams with breather membrane above and supported on adjustable feet.

Floor covering:  click fit engineered oak planks on good quality underlay.  Oak wear layer is approx. 3.5 mm thick and is of excellent quality.

 

 

Walls:

125 mm SIPs containing 100 mm expanded polystyrene insulation rigid foam insulation. Inner and outer surface of structural Oriented Strand Board.

External surface: 15 mm tanalised and stained softwood shiplap.  Standard finish for shiplap is stain (can be painted at extra cost).

Internal surface:  12 mm plasterboard, skimmed.  Painted with Gliddens white/magnolia emulsion.  Skirting board painted white eggshell.

 

 

Roof:

150 mm SIPs containing 125 mm rigid EPS foam insulation.

Weather surface: Firestone EPDM membrane with 20 year materials warranty but 50+ years lifespan.

 

 

Windows:

600 x 1200 mm and/or 1200 x 1200 opening casement windows.  Standard finish for windows is stain (can be painted at extra cost).

Double glazing: 4/16/4 super low ‘e’ toughened glass, argon filled.

Doors:

 

Single glazed door, opening out.  Brass parliament hinges to allow doors to hinge through 180 degrees. 

Double glazing for door:

Doors 4/6/4 one leaf - clear toughened, argon filled, inner leaf – soft coat toughened.

Standard finish for doors is staining (can be painted at extra cost).

Electrics:

Internal electrics includes consumer unit,  4x double 13 amp sockets,  Wall lights.  Wall mounted convector heater.
